As a form of local community development, our team in TCI Melak project held a special dump truck operator training program for female. This program aims to produce competent new dump truck operators to meet the needs of the project, as well as to develop and enhance the skills of women workers around the mine.

Each class in the training program is planned to run for three months. The first of series of developed classes was held previous 18 April 2012 with 12 participants. It is hoped that this number will grow to 60 participants along with the duration of the program. After graduation, participants will be recruited as employees of Thiess Indonesia for 2 years.
