Commemorating Balikpapan's 115th anniversary, on 8 February 2012, Thiess Indonesia welcomed a visit from Vice Mayor Balikpapan H. Heru Bambang, SE and his staffs to our BSF office. On that day Vice Mayor and other 40 Balikpapan government officials visited and presented an award to BSF for accommodating the local workforce. The award is an appreciation from Government of Balikpapan to companies which has been employing local workforces significantly. Thiess Indonesia is among the three companies in Balikpapan receiving the award.

The award was directly presented by the Vice Mayor of Balikpapan Heru Bambang to BSF Manager Joko Satianto. Vice Mayor expressed his appreciation and gratitude to BSF Office for accommodating and employing local workforces.

After lunch at BSF office, Vice Mayor Heru Bambang planted a tree at Training Centre yard which carried out in each visit by VIP visitor to BSF, followed by a short tour to apprentice workshop.
