As a form of concern for society in East Balikpapan, PT Thiess Indonesia, Sunday (19 / 6) provided a number of books for school-age children in the area. The "Smart Garden" is expected to be well-managed and useful for anyone who wants to broaden their horizons. This event was attended by the Mayor of Balikpapan, H Rizal Effendi, SE.

"The Smart Garden in East Balikpapan is the only reading garden in Balikpapan. By providing these books we want to invite other companies in East Balikpapan, together, to care for people, especially in the fields of education", said H Makmur, Aid Coordinator who is also the Chairman of the CSR Forum in East Balikpapan to the Balikpapan Post.

The aid provided was in the form of textbooks, desks, cabinets and other library equipment. According to Balikpapan Head Librarian Siti Jenah, it requires three conditions to open a "Smart Garden": library equipment, the officers and the last is financing to operate the library.
