On Wednesday, 15 December 2010, Thiess Contractors Indonesia (Senakin) and Arutmin Indonesia (Senakin) celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Life of Mine Alliance that commenced with Arutmin on 12 June 2000. The celebration was held at the gazebos in front of the housing complex in Dugan Camp and was attended by both Thiess and Arutmin employees. During the celebration, both the Project Managers from Thiess (Pak Ron Beeslaar) and Arutmin (Pak Leader Daeli) gave their speeches.

Pak Leader expressed his gratitude at what had been achieved during the 10 years with Thiess, and stated that the imminent start of Pit 8-14 would extend the Alliance agreement even further. He also said, that he hopes that the Alliance will bring all employees and their families prosperity and happiness.

Pak Ron highlighted that the current 10-year contract is a significant milestone and that during the long term relationship, although there had been many challenges, the focus remained to ensure that Arutmin continues to be one of the top coal producers in Indonesia. Pak Ron also thanked the employees from both companies for their contribution and efforts.
