On 20 Oct 2010, Melak Project held a blood donation event for humanity. The donation was held to help the availability of blood at the Harapan Insan Sendawar Hospital. The event successfully produced 85 bags of blood that came from TCI's employees, subcontractors and police officers serving the Thiess Melak site.

The event was carried out by Melak Community Relations Department in cooperation Safety Department and HIS Hospital and supported by the Melak Project Management. The Melak project also plans similar events to be held regularly in future.
