On 5 May 2010, BSF Community Team with Thiess Management donated an English Laboratory and English textbooks to SDN 005 Manggar Balikpapan. In addition to TCI employees, the event was also attended by the Department of Education and the Local Community Leaders. The donation aims to improve student's English skills as well as the schools performance.

With a capacity of 15 students, The English Laboratory is equipped with a set of operational control equipments: Head Phones, Speakers, and a DVD Player. Student were very enthusiastic with the new facility at their school and enjoyed interactive sessions with the Thiess Management, represented by Bob Davis (HR Manager), Azlan Ismail (Safety Manager) and Simone Wetzlar (EGM People Safety Environment - TAU).

The donation was part of TCI's ongoing community program at BSF and commitment to improve local education.
