Thiess Indonesia's operational team at Kaltim Prima Coal Mine, Sangatta have successfully finalised the new Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) covering the 2,000 employees on site.

Signed on the 07 October 2009, by Samuel Rumende as the Executive Director of Thiess Indonesia with Simon Simorangkir as Chairman of TCI Sangatta Worker Union and Simon Kefi as Chairman of TCI Sangatta Labour Union. The signing, held in Sangatta, was officiated by the Head of Manpower Office of Kutai Timur District, H Asrul Anwarsyah AS.

At the seremony Bapak Sam Rumende confirmed the company's commitment to successful employee conditions and the delivery of its obligations outlined in the CLA . He also expressed gratitude to all members of the negotiation teams and the representatives of the Ministery of Manpower.
