On 6 July 2009, the Thiess Community Relations Team at Kaltim Prima Coal Mine held a health training course for spouses of our employees on site, particularly focussed on those working shifts.

The program, which involved 183 participants, was held in Bumi Percontohan dan Pelatihan Usaha Tani Konservasi (BPPUTK), The program ran for six days and addressed three main issues: Fatigue Management presented by Ansar, Safety Supervisor, Family Health Management presented by Thiess Health Manager Dr. Fachrie Haris, and Family Finance which was presented by Mr. Uce, SHOK Hospital Manager.

By delivering educational programs, TCI hopes to empower our employee's spouses to actively safeguard their family's health and help their husband in managing the family's finances.
