Again this year, TCI participated in the Coaltrans Asia Conference & Exhibition held in Bali on 1-3 June. Considered as the best conference event for the coal industry in Asia, this event was opened by Mr. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources.

This year around 1,400 people attended, consisting of mine owners, government, associations, and other mining services companies. TCI's booth was packed by clients and business partners during the 2 and half days.

On the second day of the conference, President Director Roy Olsen gave a presentation on Mine & Port Infrastructure Development, outlining the infrastructure required for mine development, typical cost and timeframes, as well as contract models. Thiess Indonesia's presence in the market remains strong and despite the financial down turn potential business opportunities are on the rise.
