Congratulations goes out to the entire Thiess Indonesia team for achieving certification to the international environmental management systems standard of ISO 14001. This achievement took months of hard work, more than 25,000 hours of environmental training, and a huge commitment from every single person working in the group.

Thiess Indonesia decided to go ahead with the certification, and set a two year deadline to achieve their goal.

This involved a huge amount of hard work, with every project implementing an environmental management plan. Training and raising awareness among everyone working on site was also a key priority as well as conforming to applied procedures and complying with regulations. This was coordinated by designated and dedicated environmental teams at every project.

A system audit was done on three projects in July, with Thiess Indonesia receiving their certification on the first go. This achievement was not possible without the full commitment and effort put in by senior management, the environmental team and everyone working in the group.

By receiving ISO14001 certification Thiess Indonesia has had acknowledged that their activities meet International Standards.
