Thiess port at Balikpapan Support Facilities commenced its operation effective from 14 April 2005, by the first loading for 52 ea big tyres and 1 unit Loader 950 shipped to Sangatta Project by Wayabula II; and also 1 Unit Loader 928 shipped to Darajat Project by Menumbar XI.

The first loading activities witnessed by The Director of Operation of Indonesian Port IV (Pelindo IV) Makassar.

The Port will provide significant smooth operation support throughout Thiess operation in Indonesia, in order to maintain continuous service quality to Thiess clients as well as within Thiess business units.
