The Summit II which was a follow up of Summit I with its topic of "Planning for Our Future" previously held in February this year, was a start of TCI's Good to Great journey. Thiess Indonesia have to be a Great Company to become the Industry Leader.

More than 90 participants consisting of expatriate and national staff from senior supervisor level above attended this leadership program which emphasized that disciplined people, disciplined thought and disciplined action are the key factors for Thiess Indonesia to be a Great Company.The summit was also attended by guest participants from Australia.

This 2.5 days program also included presentation from selected topics on change model elements and guest speaker by Hilmi Panigoro, CEO of Medco.

In his speech, Managing Director of Thiess Pty. Ltd., Roger Trundle, enlightened the participants where we are going and how we get there. He emphasized the need for strong leadership.

President Director of Thiess Indonesia, Bruce Munro, said, "If you want to be the industry leader, you have to be no. 1".

Thiess Indonesia realise, that to be the industry leader, it is necessary to diversify the business sector and client base, utilising our core strength in project execution. TCI must implement an effective system to maintain good client relations and be ready for diversification with disciplined people with high work enthusiasm, who are able to sustain continuous improvement (Blue Blood).
